Mrs. Ila M. Argiro, R.N., 95, formerly of Martinsburg, WV and more recently a resident at the Golden Living Center of Morgantown, passed away on Wednesday May 2, 2012. Mrs. Argiro was born in Pleasant Valley, Marshall County, WV on September 6, 1916 the eldest daughter of the late Anthony Leonard and Delta Dakan Jefferson.
Mrs. Argiro worked as and R.N. at the Martinsburg, WV Veterans Hospital for many years, and retired from the V.A. in 1986.
She was married for 34 years to the late Dr. Thomas Argiro of Monongah, and widowed by him in 1985.
Mrs. Argiro is survived by her sons,Thomas Argiro, currently of Taichung, Taiwan, and James Argiro of Morgantown, and her grandson, Justin Argiro, of Mullan, Idaho.
Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Ross Funeral Home 801 Fairmont Avenue Fairmont.
