George Charles Pasko, Sr. of Fairmont died Sunday afternoon April 8, 2012 at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg. He was born on August 6, 1919 son of the late Anthony and Jenny Kobolkoski Pasko.

 

He retired from Westinghouse electric as an electrician. He was Catholic by faith, and was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II.

 

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Kimberly and Robert Cheuvront, Julie and Richard Shroyer and one son George C. Pasko, Jr. all of Fairmont. He is also survived by five grandchildren Kelli (Danny) VanGilder of Fairmont, Christopher Cheuvront of Fairmont, Courtney Cheuvront and fiancé Aron Majic of Fairmont, Eric (Ashley) Shroyer of Fairmont, and Evan Shroyer of Alexandria, VA, and two great grandchildren Avery Shroyer and Makenzi Vangilder. He is also survived by one brother and two sisters Robert and wife Mary Pasko of South Carolina, Lena Watson of Rivesville and Helen (Don) Kovach of McKeesport, Pa, and sister-in-law Carolyn Pasko of Rachel and several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Helen D. Pasko on March 5, 2008, two brothers Anthony (Ethel) Pasko, William Pasko, brothers and sisters-in-law Robert Watson, Mary and Nick Serge, Tony and Mary Borda, Albert and Helen Borda and Carolyn and Charles Kolbash.

 

Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home 801 Fairmont Avenue Fairmont on Tuesday from 6-9:00 and Wednesday from 12-4 and 6-9:00 p.m. Services will be held on Thursday April 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Robert A. Perriello officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

 

Marion County Veterans Council will conduct full military honors at the cemetery.

 

Donations can be made to the Resident Benefit fund at the W.V. Veteran Nursing Facility One Freedoms Way Clarksburg, WV 26301.
