Patrick Joseph Lee, Jr.April 2, 1944 ~ October 3, 2017 (age 73)
Patrick “Pat” Joseph Lee Jr., 73, of Fairmont West Virginia, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 2, 1944 in Fairmont, WV, he was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Patrick Joseph Lee (from Boston, MA) and Anna Zick Lee (Grant Town, WV). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, James Frances Lee and Joanne Lee.
Pat served in the United States Army, and he was a Korean War Veteran. He worked for Eastern Associated Coal Corporation, Federal #1 mine for 20 years until it’s closing in 1985; and retired from the Marion County Board of Education as a School Bus Driver in June of 2014, after 25 years. Pat, above all things, enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Through the years, he also liked fishing/hunting with his family, the Discovery and CNN channels, hanging out with his beloved dog Daisy May, gardening and sitting on the deck beside his pond. He had a wisdom about him, and a great sense of humor that was appreciated by all who knew him. Dad/Papaw/Pat will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Pat married his steadfast love, Penelope “Penny” Sue Lee 52 years ago on May 1, 1965, and she survives. He is also survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Clairanna and Thomas “Tom” Leonard Orgill, and Natalie and John Anthony “Tony” Beto; one son and daughter-in-law Patrick “Joe” Joseph Lee III and LouAnn Lee, and a son Steven Michael Lee, all of Fairmont; eight grandchildren, Cierra Paige (Orgill) Kochy (spouse, Zach Kochy), Thomas Zackery Orgill (spouse, Haley (Weaver) Orgill), Anthony Dominick Alvaro, Anna Clair Alvaro, Joseph Austin Lee, Brayden Patrick Lee, Poppy Joanna Lee, and Luca Joseph Beto; two great-granddaughters, Harlow Paige and Penelope Monroe Kochy; two nieces, Nikki Lee Morrison, Melodie (Dennison) Nuzum, and one nephew Jim Dennison.
Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home 801 Fairmont Avenue Fairmont on Saturday, from 4-8:00 P.M., and Sunday, from 2-8:00 P.M., and Monday, from 9-11:00 A.M. Funeral services will be held on Monday at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. with Deacon David Lester Officiating. Interment will follow at Mt Carmel Cemetery.
Marion County Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
